Forkin' Em' On The Roaring Fork River!
We've been getting great reports for the last couple weeks about the
Roarin' Fork River, so we decided it was past due to hit it up with a couple fellow pro-guides and anglers from around the State. To say the river's in good shape is an understatement! Plenty of hook-ups from Basalt to Glenwood make fishing this free-stone the best choice in the Roaring Fork Valley, (aside from the Colo). You can try and catch one of the Toads on the Pan, but consistently hooking-up wading or floating the Fork is in our opinion a great day on the water with much fewer anglers and angling pressure this time of year. We were very fortunate to hook-up with Brandon Soucie, A native to the area and guide for Taylor Creek whom at our side showed us the ins and outs of the Roaring Fork River and his home waters. we think the pictures below will show his knack for getting into fish and his abundant knowledge of the area.
